Django & MongoDB

A workshop for Django developers who would like to make use of the power of MongoDB in their projects.

Note: this session will run alongside the conference sprints. It’s free to all conference attendees.

In this workshop Amit will present several different ways to integrate MongoDB as a primary or secondary database in a Django project.

The workshop will cover data management (ODM and straight through), sessions, caching and GridFS.

Although the workshop will specifically MongoDB specifically, it will also deal with NoSQL in general and discuss pros and cons within the scope of Django applications.

Amit Nabarro is a full stack developer specialising in developing and deploying large-scale web applications, primarily in Python and Django.

He has substantial experience developing software for opto-electronic equipment, image and video microscopy, computer vision, computer-controlled hardware systems and automation.
